How does it feel when life gives you that massive push, you have only dreamt of? Exciting? Probably that's how Sonu felt when he was flying for the first time. A promising boy from the village Siraul of district Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh was going to Australia to represent India in a baseball tournament. Thoughts too began taking a long trip to the past as the journey commenced. He recollected having run behind chasing every single aircraft in the sky which flew over the village. While studying in Government School how he assisted his labourer father...Memories took a painful turn. After all those heart-rending struggles today when he found himself sitting in the same flying machine he used to adore as a child, it felt like a Victory!

A similar sense of accomplishment was experienced by Bhan Singh, a child from an agricultural labourer’s family scored highest in 10th and was rewarded on 26th January 2016 by Shri. Shivraj Singh Chauhan- Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. One seventy one children of the Sahariya tribe like Sonuand Bhan Singh are walking the path of success by getting educated in a boarding school run by SewaBharti in Dabra. Sahariya is considered to be the most backward tribe and the people have been struggling with the employment opportunities to the extreme. They mostly secured their basic needs by harvesting and labouring in the farms. The literacy rate of the tribe was just 10% until Vishnuji, A Sangha Pracharak and founder of Sewa Bharti inspired to build a place for all round nourishment of a Sahariya Children. This school was established on July 10, 2003, and the boarding school was established on July 10th 2003 and it provided lodging to students from 6th to 8th standards. The finances including fees, food, uniforms where covered by the management committee.

Nirmaldas Ji, PrantaUpadhyaksha as well as a prominent person in school’s management tells how different all round activities take place in school. The school provides world class training in the games like Baseball, Throw the ball and is coached by a renowned professional. In addition to this the schools offer the state of the art computer education.

It became necessary for the school to have its own building when the number of students rose to 171 from just 35. An NRI engineer Pankaj Maheswari stood up to help and raised the amount of 20lakh in the memory of his late father Dr. K G Maheswari. Witnessing the student’s fantastic achievements many people cooperated whole heartedly for the students. The families of the children are so attached with the school that they celebrate birthdays; even worship the lamented in the family here amongst the children. The principal, the Shree Sanjay Rajak tells us that high school graduates Ramras, Sunil Singh and Amar Singh are selected for paramedicals.12 of the students work in the income tax department whereas 4 in the forest department. Many of them have benefited from the special guidance offered in the school for the competitive exams in the baseball, Inder Singh and in throw ball, Anil Kumar have been selected for the nationals.

The determination, devotion of the Sangha Swyamsevaks, for the service of the society, and aspirations along with the inner strength is helping the tribal students in making their dreams come true!
