Nobility and noble purpose bring about positive changes in some lives. Same is the story of Chandrakant who is raised in slum areas of Pune and lost his eyes, but today carries the responsibility of a principal of the same school he educated in. Sandeep, a National player in Malkham as well as a Police constable, lived an unprivileged and terrible life in poverty until he came in touch with Swaroopwardhinee. Struggling and dealing effectively with the ritualistic thought of ‘Being a girl’, more than 3000 girls from different villages near Pune today live a respectful life working as nurses.

Such a broadened social change is led by numerous multi-dimensional programmes of Swaroopwardhinee. Sangh Swayamsevak swargiya. Kishabhau Patwardhan dreamed of helping bright students who remained unprivileged because of poverty, to live a great life. This dream seems to have come true with the success of Swaroopwardhinee. 200 students from slums to class 1, 2 officers is one example of a big transformation brought by SwarupVardhini. Chandrakantji tells that, when blindness did not allow him to attend SwarupVardhini’s educational neither programme nor any school. In order to keep his education going, Vishwas, a 11th grade student from Swaroopwardhinee’s coaching centre started guiding him. Vishwas used to go to the Bhim nagar colony to teach. As a result of Vishwas’s efforts, Chandrakant passed with 70% in high school. Vishwas never stopped teaching even during his engineering. Chandrakant kept climbing the success by completing B.A, MA, B.ED and then by leading the same school he educated in as a principal.

Sandeep, a boy who was interested in outdoors sports more than any kind of theoretical studies was noticed by Swaroopwardhinee karyakartas during a sports camp. They thought he possess the abilities to become a promising sportsman if given a proper training. They arranged for the fees and helped him admit in as sports academy. Today Sandeep at National level and represents the police department in different championships. More than 100 such success stories have become examples for the society.

Vice-President of Swaroopwardhinee Shri. Shirish Patwardhan who is also a national committee member of Rashtriya Seva bharati says that, this project was started in 1979 in order to help talented students who live in slums to develop an all round personality. Initially planted as a seed, this project is now grown into a largely extended tree.

He also tells that, a coaching centre is run by Swaroopwardhinee particularly for the state level competitive exams with the least possible fees. More than 200 students made use of this facility and are now posted as class1,2 officers. Swaroopwardhinee also runs a mobile laboratory so that students take more interest in sciences. This project has been running successfully since 17 years and has reached more than 100 villages for heightened interest of students in sciences. Other than these, a centre for women empowerment, counselling centre, Montessori schools and different projects on skill development are run by Swaroopwardhinee.
