Holistically Yours - Shrimati Nirmala Sagdev Vanvasi Chatravas

It is rightly said that “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instil a love of learning”. Such golden chapters are written in Shrimati Nirmala Sagdev Vanvasi Chatravas, Bhopal. This project was manifested and started by a SanghPracharak and parent of Sevabharti Late Vishukumarji in 1996. This place ignites the inspiration in students from tribes like korku, Bhil, Gond which are on the verge of becoming extinct and gives these students a chance of living successful and self-dependent lives. Students who studied and progressed from here are are walking the path of successful life. 19 of them are Engineers, 5 Teachers, 1 Doctor. Krishna was not heed in studies. He hardly grasped any subject other than Maths and English he hardly grasps any subject. Today he is an Engineer in MPEB in Balaghat region of Madhya pradesh. Similar is the story of Govardhan Prasad who was a boy from an unprivileged family. He was born in a small village of Bishnupur in Jharkhand. He now works as a registrar in Bhopal.

Krishna was studying in 8th standard and Govardhan was a 7 th standard student when they first got here. With the affectionate habitat, disciplined routine and regularity in studies provided them a healthy environment to pass the 12 th standard exam with merit. Here, students get up early in the morning, chant morning prayers, do yoga and have their food on time. Sports are also done as regularly as studies. Twice in a month, a cleanliness campaign is organised. Festivals like Janmashtami, Diwali, Gurupournima are celebrated with all the Sevabharti families. To present and search the potential talents of students, annual function is celebrated.  Anujkant Udeniya is looking after the students since last 10 years. As an elder brother, or sometimes as a strict parent he carries the responsibility of 52 students. He says that the Sevabharti is always available for each and every need of the students.

Organization chief Varshaji, and other ladies like Anitaji, Pratibhaji, Ashaji take care of every needs of the students like their own children. Students also get the guidance from the directors shri B.S.Khandelwal and shri Vivek Munje. Arunji and Sapna Shetty and many such couples are contributing in the education and development of these students, without any monetary reward. Cleanliness and tidiness of the building, hygienic food and all other needs are taken care of getting inspired by the efforts of Sevbharati, Late J P Sagdev who was working as government officer donated his 2 floors house in the memory of his wife Nirmala Sagdev. Students who come here are from the tribes where the ray of education and success has not yet touched. Because of poverty, lack of education and intoxication addiction is getting backward day by day. The students who are educated here work as the helping hands in their villages for making change. From last 15 years Provincial committee head and in present sangh province chief Somkanth Umalkarji tells that students passing out from here are becoming successful in helping their families as well as whole village to get out of intoxication addiction.
